What is your style of photography?
With every wedding, we strive to capture the essence of these two terms – emotion and beauty.
Emotion – This is achieved through capturing moments in a creative photojournalistic way through out the day from getting-ready pictures to the parties on the dance floor!
Beauty – Every single one of our couples are unique and beautiful! We only help you to shine brighter on your day and when that ‘glow’ is captured, it will leave your friends and family speechless!
When all these come together, our style of photography has often been described as dramatic and powerfully cinematic.
How many images do we receive from the wedding?
For a full day wedding coverage with John & Veronica the average number is between 500-700 images. This number depends also on how much is happening on the wedding day. We take 3000-5000 images per wedding on average and the final set of images is carefully selected to best portray our intended vision.
How many images will be edited?
Every single image you receive will be edited to show our signature style. Images that are selected for physical products such as albums and gallery displays will get additional ‘fine-tuning’ edits as well.
For black & white images, can we get the colour version as well?
Images delivered in black & white are only available in black & white. If you would prefer to have no black & white images, please let us know before the wedding is photographed. We would be happy to accommodate your preference if we know before the wedding.
Do we get the RAW/unedited images?
Raw or unedited files are not available for viewing or purchase. These images are literally the ‘raw’ materials used for the final finished product. This is analogous to asking to receive the left over bricks and paints after a house has been built! The images selected for final delivery will reflect our high standards.
Can we see the images that did not make the final set?
On a wedding day, there are so many variables that cannot be controlled. Therefore sometimes it is necessary to take multiple shots to capture that perfect moment. This is why there is a large difference in the number of images taken and the number of images delivered. Please note that when we are choosing these images, we are not aiming to hit a certain number of images to deliver by throwing out ‘good’ images. Images that are not selected are not archived and therefore they are not available.
How long does it take before we see the images?
Wedding images will be ready in 8 weeks from the wedding day. Albums are typically ready in 12 weeks from the date of submission of the final proof.
Do we need to feed you at the reception?
Yes please! We tend to take better pictures if we have not passed out due to starvation! Many venues/caterers offer budget friendly “vendor meals”. It would be best if we were served food at the same time as the guests because when you are eating, you are not at your photogenic best self. Also it would be best if our table is located where we have a good line of sight to anything that is happening on the speaking podium/head table. This way, we would be able to react quickly to any spontaneously fun or emotional moments during your reception.
Can we provide you with a “shot-list”
We are always open to ideas and suggestions. However, having a long list of shots to go through entire day would risk putting our creative mind in a “box”. You have trusted and have chosen us to bring life to our visions that are unique to you! We would be thrilled to create images that your friends would love to put on their “shot-list”!
Is it possible to hold our wedding date, while we make the decision?
The dates are only secured once the contract has been signed and the retainer has been paid. The bookings are accepted on first-come-first-serve basis.
What is the payment schedule?
Retainer to secure your date is 50%. The remaining balance is to be paid 30 days before the ceremony date. Typically a pre-wedding meeting is scheduled 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding day. Most of our couples make the payment then.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we take VISA, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept personal cheque, cash and email transfer as well.
If my wedding is cancelled, is the retainer refundable?
The retainer and all monies paid are non-refundable. The retainer payment secures your wedding date exclusive to you only. All other inquiries for the same date is turned down once the contract have been signed.
Do you offer discounts for off-season or non-Saturday weddings?
There are no off-season or non-Saturday wedding rates. However, there are discounts on occasions. If you have concerns with budgetary needs, please contact us and let us know.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have insurance and proof of insurance for the venue can be provided upon request.
What happens if you are stranded on a remote island on my wedding day?
We are very good swimmers! 😉
Seriously, in the very unlikely event in which we cannot physically make it to your wedding, we will be sending a photographer of similar caliber to cover on our behalf. We are active members of the wedding photography community and we have many skilled photographer friends who will be happy to step up in such situations. This would be like a once in a blue-moon situation, as we take our responsibilities very seriously.
Do you do Destination Weddings/Pre-weddings?
Absolutely! We have traveled to many places around the world for our couples. Our destination rates vary depending on the location and the time of the year so please contact us and we would be happy to see what we could do for you!
